Our first week of London happened to also be the Queen’s birthday.  Her actual birthday is in April, but she celebrates it in June because she’s the Queen.  Basically, it was a huge parade where the royals ride in carriages up and down the streets and the soldiers march all over the place.  We technically saw William and Harry, but they were super tiny.

Please tell your men to stop wearing capri pants.  It’s kinda freaky

I’ve had exceptionally unusual dreams lately:

1. I got a face lift…which was actually terrifying

2. My very dead grandma came back from the dead just to hang out

Maybe the springs in my very uncomfortable bed are starting to get to me

Today’s my first day of work.  I’m nervous because I don’t really know what to expect and I don’t know what time I’m going to be done at.  I hope everything works out!

I’m reading a book for my internship and I had to reread this section a couple times because just envisioning this situation disturbed me:

“As Rozbert was cooking pancakes for himself, she insisted on performing oral sex on him.  What was suppose to be a pleasurable event for the two of them ended in disaster as, in the head of passion, Rozbert lost his grip on the pan and spilt boiling oil down Tara’s back.  She clenched her teeth around him and, in agony, he hit her over the head with the pan.”

The EUSA gang and I went to a pup near our dorms to watch the England/USA World Cup game.  We mutually concluded it was similar to a frat bus party.

1. The place was packed and you couldn’t move anywhere

2. Incessant chanting

3. Creepy guys

4. Beer spilling everywhere and a really sticky floor

5. Guys taking shots of tequila way too early into the night

We rooted for USA loud and proud because we have no shame and there’s no way we were even going to pretend like we knew what was going on.  One woman fainted in the middle of the pup, but she was carried out and everyone went back to screaming.

Good luck to Chapman’s NSAC team this weekend.  I am thinking about you and wish I could be there.  Go get ‘em!!

We met up with Nick last night for our first official night out. Since he has family here he pointed us into the right direction of bars/pubs/clubs. Chapman should be proud! We learned three crucial things that night: cobble stone roads are a bitch to walk on in heels, Megan has an awesome British accent, and Londoners loves blond California girls…how convenient.

Thanks Nick for an epic night!

So I moved from 206 W Palmyra into a frat house.  It’s taken so long to get everything situated and there is literally no place to put anything.  The fridge had mold and now our sink is broken.  I dont’ think UK has Targets, which would really be convenient right now.  But it really doesn’t matter because I’m in London.
